Chelsea Scapino, M.S., CCC-SLP

Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
Certified PEERS provider

Chelsea is a self-proclaimed child at heart, and she is passionate about helping children communicate. She has a fun, play-based approach with the motto, "The sillier, the better!"

Chelsea received her master's degree in speech-language pathology from Saint Mary's College. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed in two states, Indiana and Michigan. She is a certified PEERS (Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills) provider and AAC specialist. Chelsea is also currently working towards becoming a LAMP (Language Acquisition through Motor Planning) Certified practitioner.

Chelsea has experience working with children with a wide range of speech and language needs in the areas of articulation, expressive and receptive language, social communication, fluency/stuttering, apraxia, and AAC. In addition, she specializes in the neurodiverse communication needs of children with autism spectrum disorder.

Whether a child communicates verbally, with an AAC device, or via gestures, Chelsea takes the time to explore and understand each child's unique personality and abilities. She believes in celebrating every success and helping children find confidence in their abilities.

As a mother herself, Chelsea truly understands how busy life can be for families, which is why she makes flexibility and convenience a key part of her practice. As parent coaching is an integral part of any therapy plan, Chelsea focuses on

teaching parents techniques that are easily implemented into daily routines.

When Chelsea is not working, you can find her spending time with her husband and children, going for walks, gardening, meditating, and sewing clothes. And as a kid at heart, Chelsea is not shy about her love of all things Disney!
